Position Summary

The Production Team Member at Wabash Valley Goodwill plays a vital role in the organization's operations in accepting and processing donations, ensuring quality control, and contributing to a positive work environment. Attention to detail and the ability to adapt to changing tasks will directly impact the success of our mission.

Responsibilities

• Understand and uphold the mission and core values in all interactions with customers, donors, and team members, and can speak of the Mission to others.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet individual and overall goals and improve production operations.
• Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance job skills and knowledge.
• Maintain excellent attendance, is punctual, and is a dependable team member.
• Remain productive and actively engaged in all job duties while clocked in.
• Refrain from creating or participating in gossip or negative speech about team members, customers, donors, or any persons in the workplace, and work to resolve issues that arise with the individuals involved.
• Process donations to sell in retail locations and ecommerce with integrity, including sorting, hanging, tagging, after-market, and pricing.
• Greet every donor at the start of the interaction and thank them at the end.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including cleaning up after yourself in common areas such as break areas and restroom facilities.
• Help maintain a safe and secure work environment by following safety guidelines and reporting any safety hazards.
• Maintain proper security and safety of the building and merchandise.
• Accept changes that may come to the working environment or task with a positive and understanding attitude, knowing that any concerns or comments with the change must be respectful and come with solutions to the issues.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the retail team and store operations.

Candidate requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred, or the desire to obtain a High School Diploma through the Excel Center of West Central Indiana.
• One to three months related experience and/or training preferred but not required.
