Field Equipment Mechanic
Location: Franklin Yard- Denver, CO
Area: Transportation/Shop
Wage Range: $30-40 per hour depending on experience
Requirements:
- Self motivated, able to work with minimal supervision and little direction
- Be on time to work as agreed upon
- Must have heavy equipment experience on CAT, Volvo, Komatsu, Etc
- Proficient with electrical and hydraulic schematics
- Proficient with diagnosing engines, electrical, drivetrain, and hydraulics first time
- Proficient with repairing engines, electrical, drivetrain, and hydraulic systems
- Attention and commitment to safety
- Understands crane operation and rigging for removing components
- Maintains truck and crane inspections
- Maintains service vehicle in good working order.
- Other duties as assigned
- Ability to work outside in hot and cold weather, rain and snow
- Basic welding and oxy cutting skills
Competencies:
-minimum of 5 years experience
- Able to lift heavy objects
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Excel
- Data entry, telephone, organizational and communication skills
- Will travel if needed for short periods of time
- Must be at least 18 years of age
