Job Overview:
We are seeking an entry level shop assistant to join our team. As an assistant, you will be responsible for various construction tasks, including assisting shop manager, learning furniture grade designs and construction methods . The ideal candidate will have some experience in the residential construction industry and possess some knowledge of hand tools and construction techniques.

Responsibilities:
- Perform various construction tasks
- Assemble and install cabinets to specifications
- Use hand tools and power tools to complete assigned tasks
- Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work area
- Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
- Communicate effectively with shop manager and address any concerns or questions they may have

Requirements:
- Some experience in cabinetry or carpentry
- Some knowledge of construction techniques and materials
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools
- Ability to learn how to read and follow technical shop drawings
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks
- High school diploma or equivalent
