Description

W.D. Laramore is looking for a Fabricator to join our team in Thomasville, GA. As a Fabricator you will be responsible for performing sheet metal assembly operations that include a variety of complex parts, details, and assemblies. You will layout, fabricate, assemble, install, and rework a wide variety of parts and assemblies. 

What You’ll Do

• Operate sheet metal equipment such as CNC Machines and use hand tools as required. 
• Fabricate special equipment as required.
• Read blueprints for use in welding and fabrication.
• Clamp, hold, tack-weld, manipulate, grind and/or bolt component parts to obtain required configurations and positions for welding.
• Detect faulty operation of equipment and/or defective materials and notify supervisors.
• Examine work pieces for defects and measure with straightedges or templates to ensure conformance and specifications.
• Keep own work area clean and orderly.
• Other duties as assigned

Monday thru Thursday 7:00 am - 5:30 pm

Basic Qualifications

• Must be dependable, accurate, self-motivated, and possess a strong work ethic.
• High School degree required, preferably have 1-2 years in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with CNC laser helpful, but not necessary.
• MIG and TIG weld skills helpful, but not necessary.
• Ability to use a tape measure.
• Basic knowledge of math and geometry.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Must have a keen attention to detail in order to produce quality parts.
• Must possess the ability to stand, bend, stoop, squat, or kneel regularly as well as climb ladders.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds regularly, and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
