We are currently seeking a talented Copywriter to join our growing team! This is an onsite position in our Bucks County, PA headquarters. This position is responsible for writing content that will be used to market Burpee’s products and brand points of differentiation in support of our mission to “Inspire and Enable Everyone to Garden.” Balances short and long-form copy projects while championing a consistent brand voice that is clear, concise, and engaging for customers.

Responsibilities Include:

• Writes copy for a variety of media including but not limited to website, email, catalog, social, point-of-sale displays, and video
• Produces well-written content that is SEO friendly and optimized for conversion.
• Creates compelling ad copy for landing pages, PR and marketing campaigns.
• Writes high-quality product descriptions and provides supporting content.
• Edits and proofs work to ensure high editorial standards are met across all content outputs.
• Collaborates with key stakeholders to brainstorm ideas and concepts that push our thinking and messaging. deliverables to new heights Drives brand consistency across all company communications.
• Conducts thoughtful research and interviews and translates to engaging and relevant copy.
• Stays current on trends and competitors within the editorial gardening and gardening-adjacent sphere.
• Optimizes copy for use across all channels and a variety of audiences.
• Proofs final deliverables to ensure that final content appears as intended.

The successful candidate will have experience with social media and editorial storytelling. Proven ability to craft compelling narratives the drive engagement and action needed for successful achievement of position goals. Candidates should have incredible attention to detail, proven time and project management skills, and excellent verbal and written communication skills with impeccable grammar.

Bachelor’s Degree in English, Journalism, Communications or related field and 3-5 years’ experience in content marketing or copywriting; preferably with an agency or lifestyle brand. Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a diligent eye for detail, language, flow and grammar.
