Manager, Commercial Analytics

Position Summary:

The Enterprise Analytics Team provides timely, business relevant insights to drive effective commercial decision making, increases our knowledge to the drivers of our business by applying statistical analysis, and provides the organization with timely and systematic reporting to increase transparency and visibility of market trends.

Responsibilities

Your primary activities will include but are not limited to:

The Manager, Commercial Analytics will support Enterprise Analytics team in the Strategy & Integration Group with the following primary functions:

• Own and execute the VYPER driver-based consumption forecasts. Responsibilities would center on ensuring that models accurately predict future results and are tight fitting. The Manager would be responsible for owning/updating the monthly VYPER PPG level forecast with all input data to provide the forecast to demand planning to drive down to the SKU
• ship point level. At each step in the cycle, simplified output is required to enhance discussion and inform leadership. This work would cover the Natrol and Jarrow businesses. (50-60% of total time)
• Maintain monthly consumption, market and economic data sources and refresh monthly reporting for commercial team. This also includes the quarterly Board of Director updates and ad hoc analysis as requested. (15-20% of total time)

The Manager, Commercial Analytics will also have these secondary functions:

• Collaborate directly with the cross functional business teams identifying issues and resolutions to existing business issues, identifying competitive threats, identifying potential growth trends which are emerging, projecting options and results of significant business strategy changes (Trade tactic changes, Price changes, Consumer spending changes) outside of existing forecasting systems. Responsible for coordinating with outside agencies as necessary. (10%-15% of time)
• Manage the Nielsen database structures through effective partnership with Nielsen team, Vytalogy marketing and sales planning teams to ensure accuracy in the data and consistency in reporting. (5-10% of total time)

Qualifications

You'll need the following (minimum qualifications):

• Four-year college degree in business or related field, or equivalent experience required. Master of Business Administration or relevant graduate degree a plus but not required.
• Prior CPG, VMS, OTC Pharmaceutical Analytics/Forecasting Experience a PLUS.
• Advanced quantitative/analytical skills; strong IRI/Nielsen skills, a desire to work closely with the data.
• Related Experience: CPG, Vitamin & mineral supplements sector experience a plus but not required
• Ability to work in a team setting, drive team results and support change management within the organization
• Strong business acumen and understanding of strategy and operations
• Sound interpersonal skills and strong verbal, written and presentation skills required
