VW Connect is Hiring a DRY UTILITY SUPERVISOR Near Phoenix, AZ

Overview: As the Construction Development Supervisor, you will oversee and manage various aspects of construction projects from conception to completion. You will be responsible for coordinating and supervising construction activities, ensuring compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and project specifications. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver high-quality construction projects on time and within budget.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and supervise construction projects from planning and design stages through to completion, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Manage and oversee construction teams, subcontractors, and vendors, providing guidance, direction, and support throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality of work, and compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
  • Review and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate implementation of design requirements.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to resolve design issues, conflicts, and changes during the construction process.
  • Procure materials, equipment, and resources necessary for construction activities, ensuring timely delivery and cost-effectiveness.
  • Monitor and manage project budgets, expenses, and cost controls, identifying cost-saving opportunities and addressing budget variances as needed.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols and best practices to maintain a safe and healthy work environment for all personnel on the construction site.
  • Communicate regularly with project stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and regulatory authorities, to provide updates on project status, milestones, and any potential risks or issues.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports, change orders, and construction logs.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements, permits, and approvals throughout the construction process.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and training to construction teams, fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and excellence.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related field; Master's degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience in construction supervision, project management, or a similar role within the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, building codes, and safety regulations.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively lead and motivate teams.
  • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Understanding of budgeting, cost estimation, and financial management principles.
  • Certification in construction management or project management (e.g., PMP) is preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to construction sites as needed.
