Basic Job Functions:

The role of the Associate Sales Manager (ASM) is to participate as a member of the division’s Leadership Team in executing our Strategic Initiatives while supporting the division’s pre-sale commercial efforts. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, developing strong relationships with both internal teams and external customers to maximize our long-term profitability and maintain our market leadership. The ASM is responsible for directly leading the inside sales team and working with all departments to ensure our commercial strategy is integrated throughout the team. The ASM will coordinate with DSMs in executing the commercial strategy within each territory, and develop effective strategies on major projects, targeted customers, and markets. This position requires travel to meet with customers, attend jobsites, and other critical meetings.

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 3 years of sales experience or relevant experience

• 2 years of leadership experience

• Manager recommendation

• Willing and able to travel frequently

• Willing to relocate in 1-2 years for advancement within Nucor

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, Marketing, Sales, or related field

• 3 years of sales leadership experience with Nucor

• Willing to relocate to either posting location
