VulcanForms is hiring a Senior Manager of Continuous Improvement for our Devens, MA, location.

Job Purpose

As the Senior Manager of Continuous Improvement at VulcanForms Inc., Devens, MA, you will demonstrate strategic and tactical thinking coupled with strong communication, project management and planning skills. The selected candidate must be self-driven, detail-oriented, comfortable with ambiguity and possess a proven track record of successfully driving and applying Lean methodologies.

Key Accountabilities

  • Coach and teach Lean principles and methodologies across the business.
  • Lead, facilitate and execute Lean initiatives, eliminating waste throughout the manufacturing and business processes.
  • Evaluate, develop and implement new and emerging technologies leading to business process improvements.
  • Train, coach and challenge process owners in the use of Lean and other continuous improvement (CI) tools, approaches and techniques to drive improvement in safety, quality, delivery and cost.
  • Facilitate and lead kaizen events and follow up with event owners to complete kaizen event action items.
  • Develop and report metrics for sustainment of improvement activities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to accomplish shared goals.
  • Support business process improvement and process design activities by identifying critical improvement opportunities.

Qualifications

  • A Lean expert with 8 years of practical experience from a successful process-oriented environment leading projects, teams and / or initiatives with at least five years applying, facilitating, coaching and teaching Lean methodologies in a technically and operationally complex business.
  • Deep knowledge of and hands-on experience training and implementing TPS-based business systems.

Preferred

  • Exceptional consulting skills, especially in situations requiring persuading, negotiating, resolving conflict and advising.
