Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities. This is a full-time position with opportunities for growth and advancement.
Duties:
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment and systems to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks to ensure the longevity of equipment
- Repair or replace defective equipment parts using hand tools and power tools
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems to diagnose and resolve problems
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
- Fabricate or modify parts as needed using welding or other fabrication techniques
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff and tenants
- Assist with the supervision of contractors during maintenance projects
- Provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders
Skills:
- Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude
- Proficiency in electrical systems troubleshooting and repair
- Experience in facilities maintenance, including HVAC, plumbing, and general repairs
- Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Leadership skills to oversee maintenance projects and supervise contractors
