Overview of Position
The HR Generalist supports varied human resource functions for all Supply Chain locations; specifically, new employee onboarding, retention interviews, separations and unemployment, document filing and retention management, exit interviews, Level UP program, employee benefits, worker's compensation, compliance audits and human resources special projects.
Job Responsibilities
  1. Onboard applicants to include orientation and creating and maintaining new employee files, UKG Ready sign in and .
  2. Monitors new hire completion of tasks in onboarding system. Notifies management of upcoming new hires. Supports and facilitate new hire orientation. Manages new employee I-9 process by collecting and validating required documentation.
  3. Maintains and coordinates employee recognition programs, supports and helps facilitate employee training and development opportunities and supports HRBP with employee investigations, retention/exit interviews and communication of company policies
  4. Manages on-site document retention programs for all HR documentation. Maintains file integrity.
  5. Supports employee wellness and benefits through distribution of new employee enrollment reminders, reporting new worker's compensation claims and creating hard copy files and communication of mandated employee benefits communications, such as the Summary Annual Report and 401(k) plan documents.
  6. Maintains knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risk and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the legal department as needed/required.
  7. Provides daily coverage for HRBP, as needed for all shifts.
  8. Manage leave administration (FMLA, WC, STD, LTD, etc.) to include follow up on all ADA communications.
  9. Supports human resources special projects, All Hands events, recognition, holiday parties, culture events, etc.
  10. Partner with HRBP on employee relations actions and updates in HRIS systems, including promotions, terminations, bonus awards, organizational changes, etc. as requested.
  11. Partner with HRBP to conduct employee relations investigations as requested.
  12. Work with the HRBP on Level UP! Program (roll out, application, working with leaders to select candidates).
  13. Provide data and demographics for all locations using Tableau.
  14. Manage unemployment request and documentation.
  15. Other duties as assigned.
Scope
Support HRBPs for all Supply Chain locations. Ability to travel 10% across sites or to Headquarters.
Knowledge, Education, Skills & Abilities
  • Associate's degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • 3years' progressive human resources experience.
  • Previous experience with Human Resources HRIS, ATS and Onboarding systems a plus.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Proven ability to communicate with various levels of management.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to deal sensitively and with the utmost confidentiality.
  • Proven team player.
  • Proven organizational, multi-tasking and prioritization skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to travel across all Supply Chain sites as needed.
