VTG is seeking a Supply Specialist 1 located in our Fabrication Shop in Virginia Beach, VA.

Performs duties of intermediate skill level; Applies basic and some skills in procedures, techniques, tools, materials, and/or equipment as appropriate; Receives, stores, and issues equipment, material, supplies, merchandise and tools; Compiles stock records in warehouse or storage yard by performing the following duties:

• Counts, sorts, and verifies receipt items on invoices
• Examines material to verify conformance to specifications
• Processes receipts in material inventory system
• Stores material in bins, on floor, or shelves according to size and type of material
• Fills orders or issues material from stock
• Processes issues in material inventory system
• Compiles inventory reports of adjustments with inventory counts
• Marks identifying codes, figures, or letters on material
• Distributes material among production sites, keeping record of material issued
• Makes adjustments or repairs to material handling and office equipment
• Determines best method of storage, identification and material location, considering temperature, humidity, height, and weight limits
• Cuts material to size to fill requirements
• Moves or transports material or supplies to other departments
• Maintains inventory of material
• Maintains a clean and safe work environment
• Perform other logistical tasks as assigned
• At times assist in other departments including but not limited too Paint, Sheet Metal, Welding, and Machine operating
  • Pull in material
  • Cut metal to specifications
  • Prep material prior to welding and or painting
  • Operate heavy equipment

 Education/Experience:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be a US Citizen.

Mathematical Skills:

• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
• Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra
