VTG is looking for a Data Scientist in Chantilly, VA.
What will you do?Explores and operationalizes data sources using scientific processes and technologies to uncover and communicate product and business insights. Applies specific functional knowledge; working/general industry knowledge. May develop or contribute to solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Works independently with some guidance; may review or guide activities of more junior employees.
Bachelors degree and 2-4 years of directly related experience or Masters degree and 0-2 years directly related experience. Years of experience may be accepted in lieu of degree for certain roles. Certifications may be accepted in lieu of a degree for certain technical roles.
Do you have what it takes?Basic Qualifications:
TS/SCI with Poly Required
* 3 years of experience with using programming languages to manipulate and analyze data, including Python and SQL
* 2 years of experience with machine learning, data cleansing, and statistical analysis
* Experience analyzing structured and unstructured data sources
* Knowledge of Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or Natural Language Processing
* Ability to create reports and present key insights based on analysis
* Knowledge of Natural Language Processing (NLP) and experience implementing standard NLP methodologies such as TF-IDF or FastText
* Experience programming in an AWS cloud environment
* TS/SCI clearance with polygraph
* Bachelor's degree
Additional Qualifications:
* Amazon Web Services (AWS) certification
* Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform) or IT configuration management tools (Ansible)
* Experience with a continuous delivery machine-learning project (e.g. Webapp in production, webserver running models, etc.)
* Master's degree
