The ideal candidate should have an eye for clean and artful web design as Well as ability to create semantic, responsive, cross-browser mark-up.Break Down of Work: · Designing and implementing a modern, easy to use, customer friendly website for the Governor’s Office of Early Childhood Education – 80%· Gathering requirements and prototyping – 20%Requirement Description:· Conceptualize original website design ideas and execute all visual design stages from concept to final hand-off · Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps to communicate interaction and design ideas· Create standards-compliant, cross-browser and cross-platform implementation· Optimize applications for maximum speed· Create quality mockups and prototypesMandatory Requirements/Time:· At least 5 years of experience in the following areas are required· Demonstrable visual design skills with a strong portfolio and proven work experience· Experience designing and implementing modern, easy to use websites. · Extensive experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap· Solid experience in creating wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows, and site maps· Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator or other visual design and wire-framing tools· Proficiency in HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, and JavaScript· Proficiency with browser testing and debugging as well as user acceptance testing· Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively· Up-to-date with the latest trends, techniques and technologies· Excellent analytical and multitasking skills· BS/MS in human-computer interaction, interaction design, visual arts, computer science, or relevant fieldAdditional InformationAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
