Visual Technologies is an established audio-visual company located in Central New York, looking for an experienced Audio-Visual Design Developer for our Integration Department. Full-time benefit eligibility is in effect after a 90-day evaluation period. They include continuing education, paid time off, healthcare insurance, life/enhanced disability insurance, retirement plan with 3% match, cell phone reimbursement, and clothing allowance. Compensation will be determined based on experience; entry level salary (exempt) starts at $1,300/week. 

Some duties would include:

·Provide details and drawings used for fabrication and installation of audio, video, and control systems.

·Ability to design and engineer complete system(s).

·Test and program control systems, computer controlled digital signal processors, routers, or mixers.

·Follow projects through to final adjustment and commissioning of installed systems.

·Creates equipment lists, floor plans, rack, and console elevations.

·Creates test plans and test systems.

·Coordinate with appropriate departments to ensure proper scheduling & integration of designed systems.

·Must be able to provide economically feasible audio/visual, sound, RF, conferencing, and network systems design, and propose products for suitability and reliability for use on projects.

Qualifications:

The Audio-Visual Design Developer shall possess a two-year electronics degree from an accredited college or university. A minimum of 3 years working experience in an Audio-Visual Design Developer capacity is required. This person must be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and work well with other people.

Travel: It is expected that this position will require a moderate amount of in-town and occasional out-of-town travel. It will also be required to travel to customer and vendor sites.

 Additional Skills and Abilities:

Must be responsible, self-motivated, self-starter, personable and well-organized.

A construction and/or network background is helpful.

Must be able to climb a ladder, balance, work overhead; this position is physical.

Superior customer service skills to deal with both internal and external customers.

Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Valid and current NYS driver’s license.
