The business plans to expand the Lincoln City practice and add a regional optometry practice—this is where we need your support and expertise. What you'll do: You'll care for patients in a tech-forward, modern clinic and provide comprehensive optometry to patients of all ages and with visual and medical conditions. As an Optometrist at Lincoln City Eye Clinic, you'll be expected to: Perform thorough routine eye exams and pre-and-post operative eye exams Identify visual alertness, field of vision, and hand-eye coordination Diagnose sight problems, such as nearsightedness and color blindness Identify and assess eye defects and diseases such as diabetes or liver failure Maintain accurate patient medical files using NextGen Promote good eye health through patient education Record all diagnosis and treatment plans, including transfers and therapeutic prescriptions The position is part-time, 16 to 24 hours weekly; the practice will consider full-time for the right candidate. Minimum Qualifications: Optometry license in the state of Oregon Doctor of optometry degree Prefer at least two years of experience as an Optometrist. New graduates considered.
