Duties
- Operate and control various type of cranes and heavy equipment, including boom trucks and forklifts
-Safely lift, move and position heavy materials or equipment using the crane
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment
- Inspect and maintain the crane and other equipment to ensure proper functioning
- Communicate with team members to coordinate lifts and ensure efficient operations
- Adhere to project schedules and deadlines
- Work with team doing construction duties when not operating crane
Experience
- Minimum if 2 years experience operating cranes in a construction or industrial setting
- Mechanical knowledge and understanding of crane operations
- Commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams and load charts
- Experience with rigging and lifting techniques
Skills
-Proficient in operating various types of cranes, including boom trucks
- Ability to safely rig loads for lifting and moving
- Strong spatial awareness and depth perception for precise positioning of loads
- Excellent communication skills to effectively coordinate with team members
- Attention to detail to ensure proper equipment maintenance and inspection
