Product Technician - Automotive

Who we are:

Vehicle Security Innovators, LLC is a company focused on custom security and maintenance solutions for the transportation industry.

Simply put - We build locks on trucks! Some of our customers are OEM Manufacturers where we supply locks and keys for ignitions, cabs, doors, etc. Other customers are After Market consumers where we build custom security features for light trucks and 4x4's.

This Product Technician is someone with an automotive background who is ready to grow in their career. The position will challenge you in the following ways.

Responsibilities:

• Purchase After Market component parts and supplies for the department
• Conduct incoming inspections for After Market components
• Maintain inventory integrity by managing inventory counts
• Assist production when necessary to meet delivery expectations
• Prepare products for internal and external testing, assisting in functional quality tests
• Recommend design alternations and improvements to enhance current products
• Works closely with other leaders in supporting Continual Improvement Efforts

Ultimately, this position will blend time between production and office work. An automotive mind would be very helpful in this position. Your expertise may result in product development enhancement based on your recommendations.

Job Requirements:

• Understanding manufacturing processes & materials
• Strong organization and prioritization skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Professional demeanor both internally and externally
• Ability to use various computer systems, including Word and Excel
• Ability to work with hand tools and various instruments
• Ability to read & understand measurement & calibration tools
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision
• Ability to maintain a professional demeanor and appearance

1-3 years of automotive or purchasing/inventory management experience is ideal.

Pay: From $28.00 per hour
