Our Indianapolis Office is the headquarters for VS Engineering and boasts our largest Transportation, Water Resources, and Structural teams. Our local staff includes a wide variety of experience levels with expertise in city, county, DOT and INDOT work projects for local cities, counties, and the State.

The bridge and structures department offers a wide array of structural projects to work on! Through contemporary bridge replacement and rehabilitation projects along with historic bridge rehabilitations, VS offers engineering challenges at every experience level. At VS you will work with federal, state & local agencies in Indiana and elsewhere as we begin our venture into adjacent states! A Typical Day May Include

• Develop structural construction documents and specifications under the supervision of a Professional Engineer

• Participate and assist the team with planning, design and structural inspection of various structural engineering projects
• Contribute to the preparation of planning documents, engineering plans, details, reports, specifications and cost estimates
• Assist in coordinating with clients, regulators and permitting agencies
• Help prepare contract documents for bidding
• Compete field assignments like data collection and structural construction observation

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Civil Engineering or a related Engineering degree from an ABET accredited program
• Passed Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam (preferred)
• 2-5 years relevant work experience, previous professional internships/co-op experience preferred
• Technical knowledge / computer skills:
  • Microsoft Office products: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook
  • Adobe (preferred)
  • AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or MicroStation
