The Warehouse Associate – Receiving is tasked with overseeing tasks related to the operation of the company’s warehouse and movement of inventory items. This role will work closely with the Warehouse Supervisor, administrative team, and warehouse team to execute the tasks below.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Receiving:

• Utilize forklifts and hand trucks for unloading trucks and deliveries.
• Verify deliveries against packing slips for accuracy.
• Input packing slip information accurately into our system.
• Inform departments upon arrival of special orders.
• Correspond with vendors to resolve any delivery discrepancies.
• Maintain active communication with the Accounting Department, aiding in vendor issue resolution.

Stocking:

• Arrange equipment and parts following shipments.
• Replenish unused items returned from installation jobs.
• Ensure sufficient stock availability for technicians.
• Collaborate with the Warehouse Supervisor to document the location of overstock items.

General Warehouse:

• Act as backup for other warehouse positions.
• Help keep the warehouse clean and organized.
• Load scrap into the recycle bin when necessary.
• Help keep the parking lot free of trash and debris.
• Work with the Warehouse Supervisor on any maintenance requests.
• Help keep doorways and walkways free of ice and snow.
• All other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Current driver’s license and maintain insurability with Vredevoogd’s carrier.
• Ability to pass initial and random drug screenings.
• Ability to pass national background check
• Strong oral and reading skills.
• Capability to work in Michigan’s environmental conditions.
• Strong commitment to world-class customer service.
• Strong multitasking skills: phone, computer, and people skills.
• Build and encourage a positive work culture and be a willing and engaged team player.
• High School diploma or GED.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and climb in and out of box trucks and vans.
• Ability to climb ladders of all kinds, including step ladders in the warehouse.
• Ability to work more than 40 hours per week when necessary to meet specific organizational requirements.
• Ability to frequently alternate between sitting, standing, and walking throughout the workday for extended periods of time.
• Ability to navigate stairs repeatedly throughout the workday and transport items up and down staircases as needed.

Working Environment:

• Warehouse, sheet metal production, service center and field operations environment with moderate noise level.
• Dress code: Uniforms are provided and should be worn in accordance with Immediate Impact Image policy.
• Ability to be flexible and effectively handle changes.
• Ability to utilize technology for invoicing and internal/external communication.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
