Woodworking Technician Job Description

Responsible for production of high-end cabinetry with complex design details, focusing on residential projects. 

At Vonmod, we have developed a customized design through manufacturing and install process in which we run our jobs through wholistically. Therefore, we run all new woodworking technicians through a 90-day training program designed to equip individuals with the necessary skills and knowledge of these processes to become qualified technicians and project leads. Throughout this period, you will learn our company’s specific processes and techniques, enabling you to excel in your role. 

Responsibilities

• Dive deep into the intricacies of the manufacturing and assembly process, ensuring that it is executed according to company standards and client specifications
• Cut, band, bore, build and wrap custom cabinetry, appliance panels, panel walls, and other cabinetry components, ensuring top quality workmanship and follow through
• Skillfully focus in on the micro details and get quick wins on how to become an expert in a variety of unique skills
• Collaborate with Project Managers to ensure clear communication and understanding of project requirements
• Learn and grow manufacturing skills, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient and high-quality work
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in cabinetry fabrication techniques
• Uphold a strong commitment to workplace safety, ensuring that all activities follow established safety guidelines
• Knowledge of other trades and how they interact with our scope
• Ability to pass on information clearly to other technicians and installers (in case job needs to be completed by others)

Experience Required

• 1-3 years of fabrication, woodworking or other construction work experience
• Proficiency in reading and understanding architectural drawings
• Strong communication skills (in person, email, slack, phone, text)
• Proficient in basic hand tool safety
• Knowledge of residential construction trades
• Able to work on your feet for extended shifts
