psychoeducation sessions, timely and accurate clinical documentation, participation in the interdisciplinary team meeting.
- Assess Veteran needs at intake and create service plans. Assist Veterans in development of skills and behaviors necessary to recover from their addiction and/or modify their maladaptive behaviors.
- Counsel individuals and facilitate groups to address alcohol, tobacco, drug, or other problems, such as gambling and eating disorders.
- Complete and maintain accurate records or reports in a timely manner, regarding the veteran’s histories and progress, services provided, or other required information.
- Intervene as an advocate for veterans to resolve emergency problems in crisis situations.
- Participate in case conferences and staff meetings with other staff and professionals to facilitate collaborative efforts to provide support and appropriate and successful interventions.
- Participate in outreach programs to connect Veterans to identify referrals to the program and provide resources in the community. Plan and implement group and individual counseling for
