Volunteers of America Ohio and Indiana is looking for Full-Time Recovery Support Technicians for our Indianapolis Fresh Start Women’s Program. The Fresh Start Recovery program is a family-focused residential additions treatment program for mothers and their children. To ensure we preserve the crucial mother-child relationship in a healthy environment, recovering mothers have their children live with them during treatment. This entry-level role will provide recovery support to women recovering from opioid and other drug abuse addictions. As a Recovery Support Technician (full-time, part-time, entry-level), you are part of a team of dedicated people offering our clients crisis intervention and a comprehensive continuum of care that includes group and individual therapy, case management, real-time parenting coaching, and life skills development. As a Recovery Support Technician, your work will touch the mind, body, heart – and ultimately the spirit – of those we serve while integrating our deep compassion with highly effective programs and services. This is an Entry level Behavioral Health position focusing on recovery and family reunification. 

As a Recovery Support Technician (full-time, 2nd and 3rd shifts, entry-level), you are part of a team of dedicated people offering our clients crisis intervention and a comprehensive continuum of care that includes group and individual therapy, case management, real-time parenting coaching, and life skills development. As a Recovery Support Technician, your work will touch the mind, body, heart – and ultimately the spirit – of those we serve while integrating our deep compassion with highly effective programs and services. 

Essential job duties:

• Perform 1:1 crisis intervention to the client and submit supporting documentation.
• Facilitate individual and group skills training for clients.
• Document and maintain DCS and legally mandated reporting standards of child abuse and neglect.
• Transport clients in company-approved vehicles as needed.
• Maintain DCS and legally mandated reporting criteria for child abuse and neglect.
• Monitor for and control contraband through general surveillance and room searches.
• Conduct periodic tours of the facility and its grounds to maintain client safety and security
• Complete and maintain client intake information and procedures.

Qualified applicants will have the following:

• High school diploma or equivalent education.
• Valid Indiana driver's license required.
• Applicants must pass a state, county, and Department of Child Services background check.

• Shift Differential for all hours worked after 5pm
