We have an opening for a Full-time Overnight Residential Care Aide position at our Independent Living Facility in Bangor, Maine. Position details are as follows:

· This is a 40-hour position including weekends.

· Thursdays and Fridays 11PM-7AM

· Weekends are Saturday & Sunday 6PM to 6AM

· Wage: $19 hourly

The Residential Care Aide’s primary job duties include assisting residents with promoting independence and positive quality of life. Your support to our Residents is invaluable and with proper and respectful care, you can ensure that they retain their dignity and independence during the latter stages of life. The responsibilities include general housekeeping, individual laundry service, serving meals, kitchen clean-up, and assistance with dishwashing.

Employees are provided with paid meal breaks in addition to a home-cooked meal for those scheduled to work during the lunchtime and dinner time meal periods.

Education, Experience, and Qualifications:
1. High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
2. Physical ability to perform the work required; must be able to lift and carry 25 lbs.
3. Proven job reliability, diligence, attention to detail.
4. Ability to work quickly and efficiently with minimum supervision.
5. Ability to communicate effectively with residents and staff.
6. Prior experience as a housekeeper is desirable.
7. Prior experience working with, or knowledge of aging population/issues is desirable.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 per hour
