POSITION TITLE: Family & Children's Clinician
LOCATION: Louisville, KY
STATUS: Full Time, Hourly, Non-Exempt
PROGRAM: Addiction Recovery Services
REPORTS TO: Senior Program Manager of Freedom House

JOB SUMMARY AND QUALIFICATIONS:
The position requires a proven ability in communications, social casework, and personal budgeting. Responsible for the overall Clinical services to men/women/children with both mental illness and addictions. It requires a reasonable combination of the following knowledge and skills; Work with Mental Illness and addiction, use of cognitive behavioral therapies and twelve step facilitation skills, use of community resources and ability to serve as an appropriate role model. Compassion towards people living with mental illness, substance abuse disorders, and HIV/AIDS and ability to convey respect to the target populations are critical. Must learn and apply agency, personnel and program policies and procedures. Must have knowledge and understanding of the current treatment modalities. 
WHAT YOU SHOULD HAVE FOR THIS ROLE:
The position requires at minimum a Master’s degree in Social Work or related field with a certificate (CSW, CADC, LPCA, LMFT) with a preference given to an LCSW, LPCC, and/or LCADC with an addiction focus and must have at least two years working with persons that are affected by mental illness and coexisting alcohol/drug disorders. 
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.Work in developing children’s/family therapeutic services for Freedom House Louisville to include therapy sessions, assessments, treatment planning for children under age of 18 that freedom house is serving. 
2.Facilitate group and individual therapy coverage as needed for residents at Freedom House or Liberty Place. 
3.Complete psychosocial and initial ASAMS as needed.
4.Carry a case load of individual clients for individual therapy services to include treatment planning, concurrent ASAMs, ongoing assessments, etc. (children and/or adults). 
5.Work effectively with referral sources by communicating progress, lack of progress, client concerns, discharge planning and summaries. 
6.Maintain positive and effective communication with treatment team. 
7.Document services through current, complete records.
8.Counseling on personal, family financial, employment, behavioral, crisis and substance abuse matters.
9.Advise other staff on treatment matters and coordinate team treatment as appropriate.
10.Discuss and review client progress. 
11.Participate in regular client review.
12.Maintain a current CPR and First Aid certificate.
13.Participate in weekly clinical supervision with individuals whom you may be supervising 
14.Maintain billing requirements.
