POSITION DESCRIPTION

ORGANIZATIONAL OVERVIEW:

We are looking for a dedicated Vice President of Healthcare to steer our programs towards sustainable success. SUMMARY:

We are seeking a Vice President of Health Care who is not only passionate about combating health inequity but also brings a unique blend of clinical expertise, operational acumen, and strategic leadership. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in healthcare and human services; program supervision and development; quality and compliance, risk management; budgeting and fiscal management; and leadership development. The Vice President of Health Care is responsible for program development and operations of our health care initiatives. The position provides the leadership and management to ensure that there are proper systems, processes and procedures for effective and efficient program administration. Additionally, the Vice President of Health Care will be responsible for supporting a culture of diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging and professional growth and development.

KEY RESPONSIBILIITES:

  • Operational Excellence and Program Development
    • Spearhead efforts to build new programs and services within health care.
    • Develop and implement new programs ensuring quality service delivery.
    • Oversee development of program structure, policy and procedure, and metrics to ensure program impact and sustainability.
  • Team Development and Leadership
    • Provide leadership to promote diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging and the implementation of the organizational plan.
    • Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and professional growth and development among staff members.
    • Partner with the Human Resources department to create strategies for recruitment and retention.
  • Collaboration and Partnerships
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with partners and collaborators.
    • Identify and prioritize potential partners and collaborators based on strategic alignment.
  • Provide expert guidance on clinical matters to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
    • Cultivate and maintain strategic partnerships with other organizations, funders, government agencies, and stakeholders.
    • Collaborate and develop internal partnerships with support departments to support program development and operation.
    • Be an ambassador for the individuals served, staff, stakeholders, and the organization.
  • Quality, Compliance and Risk Management
    • Provide expert guidance on clinical matters to ensure implementation of best practice models throughout the organization.
    • Participate in and enhance risk management monitoring for health care programs.
    • Develop Key Performance Indicators for health care programs, promoting consistent improvement in program and service delivery.
    • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards though our comprehensive compliance program.
  • Fiscal Management
    • Develop and manage the healthcare department’s budget, ensuring resources are used efficiently and effectively.
    • Works closely with the Chief Financial Officer and Finance Team on program budget development.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Education: A Master's degree in social work, healthcare administration, or a related field required. A valid clinical LMSW license highly preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of progressive management experience, ideally in healthcare, behavioral health, substance use services, affordable housing administration, nonprofit management, or social services.
  • Skills:
    • Demonstrated track record of successful leadership, and operational management.
    • Strong financial acumen and experience managing complex budgets and financial performance.
    • Exceptional communication interpersonal and negotiation skills.
    • Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
    • Commitment to fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion.
    • Program development and implementation expertise.
    • Development of quality, compliance, and risk management infrastructure.

Environmental Working Requirements:

Work is done in either in an on-site or remote office environment with exposure to computer screens.

Hours of Work: Full-time. Flexible and varied.

Travel: Travel within service areas, some out-of-area travel.
