Position: Vocational Instructor/Coordinator The Vocational Instructor/Coordinator (instructor) is responsible for developing and implementing vocational services to residents. East 119th Street Veterans Residence is a single room occupancy (SRO) residence that provides permanent, supportive housing to formerly homeless single veteran men and women, including those diagnosed with a mental illness. Vocational Instructor/Coordinator Principal Responsibilities: Completes intakes and assessment to determine vocational skill and job-readiness and collaborate with social services staff to include vocational goals and objectives on service plan. Identifies appropriate educational, training, and work experience programs for residents and refer residents to appropriate services. Develops and supervises recreational activities for residents. Screen volunteers, coordinate volunteer activities, and prepare monthly volunteer report.Manages emergency food pantry and distributes food to clients on a regular basis.
