Position: Vocational Coordinator The Vocational Coordinator (instructor) is responsible for developing and implementing vocational services to residents. Mt. Eden House is a single room occupancy residence (SRO) providing permanent, supportive housing to formerly homeless single adults, including those suffering from mental illness or HIV/AIDS. Eden Avenue • Bronx, NY 10452 Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in a human service field and three years of appropriate experience. Vocational Coordinator (instructor) Principal Responsibilities: Completes intakes and assessment to determine vocational skill and job-readiness and collaborate with social services staff to include vocational goals and objectives on service plan. Identifies appropriate educational, training, and work experience programs for residents and refer residents to appropriate services. Develops and supervises recreational activities for residents. Screen volunteers, coordinate volunteer activities, and prepare monthly volunteer report.Manages emergency food pantry and distributes food to clients on a regular basis.
