YOUR DAY-TO-DAY AS OUR PSYCHOLOGIST - FORENSIC ANALYST

As a crucial member of the legal system, you conduct court-ordered evaluations to determine an individual's trial fitness. Evaluations inform decisions on issues like the insanity defense. For juvenile cases, you conduct psychological evaluations, diagnose conditions, and recommend treatments. You may also perform psychosexual evaluations to assess future offending risks and suggest appropriate treatment levels.

You handle essential administrative tasks like scheduling, billing paperwork, and communication with attorneys and courts with support from VBH staff. You are paid based on TDMHSAS reimbursement which varies by the evaluation procedures conducted. Your expertise ensures the legal system receives reliable assessments for fair outcomes.

• A doctorate-level degree in psychology with a health service provider designation in Tennessee as a psychologist
