In 2011 we carried out the first-ever piloted flight of a fully electric multicopter and have since conducted more than 1,500 public and private test flights across the world (www.volocopter.com). Job DescriptionYour mission during this flight:We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to join our next-generation eVTOL development. As a Project Manager, you will play a key role in the successful execution of our next-generation aircraft development - on time, cost and quality. Your mission during this flight:Lead the next-generation aircraft development side by side with the Chief EngineerCreate, maintain and execute a project development timeline in accordance with ARP 4754Create and maintain transparency regarding project timelines and critical paths; Set up interfaces between teams to ensure cross-team synchronizationIdentify and address any delays with relevant interface partners, program management, and planners from other departmentsTrack risks, tasks, and open issues; Proactively develop mitigation actions and remove blockers to ensure successful completion of maturity gates. Escalate issues according to the internal escalation path when necessaryDefine budget and time responsibility for the overall development projectProvide regular project status updates to senior management, summarizing project progress, risks, and key performance indicatorsConduct capacity planning, ensuring appropriate resource allocationSupport in managing and coordinating with suppliers according to the team's needs, ensuring timely delivery of components and servicesManage a cross-functional team inside and outside of the CTO organisation if requested in complex projectGuide and mentor other Project Managers and Team Leads, providing insights and best practices for successful project managementFoster a culture of continuous improvement by challenging existing methodologies and proposing innovative solutions to optimize project timelines and performanceQualificationsCheck in your professional skills:Bachelor/Master/PHD Engineering degreeAt least 10 years of relevant experience in the aviation industry and 5 years of experience in project managementFlight test experience is an assetStrong experience in aircraft development programs including development processes (e.g. ARP 4754) from pre-development over development, production towards entry into serviceAdvanced training in the areas of traditional or agile project management (e.g. IPMA / GPM C-Level; APM Practitioner Level; SCRUM Master, etc.) and experience in using project management tools (JIRA; MS Project, etc.)Familiarity with EASA certification (and SC-VTOL in particular)Excellent experience in the fields of requirements engineering, systems engineering, mechanical engineering, avionics and electrical powertrainsStrong knowledge in problem solving and feels comfortable in uncertain and complex environmentProven experience in successfully managing diverse teams and stakeholders, ensuring effective collaboration and communication throughout the project lifecycleConflict solution oriented Excellent English skills in written and speakingVery strong presentation skills Strong communication & negotiation skillsAdditional InformationOur Volocopter flight includes: Fast-growing high-tech company with a superb network of investors and partners Chance to shape the future of aviation Help us to create groundbreaking new projects - from scratch!
