The Service Advisor reports to the Service Manager.

Expectations of the Service Advisor:

  • VW automotive service and CDK experience preferred!!!
  • Wage is D.O.E. and will be discussed during the interview!
  • Establishes and maintains exemplary working relationships with customers which encourages repeat and referral business.
  • Understands that Service Advisors are part of a team in which all employees help each other.
  • Displays a strong work ethic and utilizes time well.
  • Understands and demonstrates that work performed serves two types of customers; internal departments and teams and outside (public) customers.
  • Demonstrates a positive attitude and does not use inappropriate language.
  • Strives to complete tasks on time; strives to be thorough and gives appropriate attention to the details of their tasks.
  • Maintains a neat and professional appearance and practices appropriate personal hygiene at all times in accordance with Sheppard Motors policy.
  • Upholds high ethical standards in all dealership responsibilities and activities.

Administration:

· Accurately and thoroughly writes repair orders.

· Properly enters the RO into CDK/ERO system for proper dispatching.

· Properly documents repair order changes.

· Ensures all technician notes, time punches, and mileage are documented clearly, thoroughly, and accurately.

· Carefully inspects every finished repair order for proper completion, pricing, accuracy, and legibility.

· Documents flat rate time or other required time-keeping according to the service department and/or manufacturer’s procedures.

· Books and closes repair orders.

· Ensures that vehicles are parked in assigned areas. Verify that the vehicles are locked and all keys are marked and stored in the appropriate area.

· Maintains a record of carryover vehicles.

· Ensures no repair order remains open if the vehicle is no longer at the dealership.

Occasionally warranty repair orders will be left open due to administrative requirements. Every effort must be taken to close these in a timely fashion. It is the ASM’s responsibility to ensure this is not taken advantage of. The ASM must do everything possible to close these repair orders quickly.

Communication:

- Provides additional vehicle concerns/complaint information to the technical staff as needed.

- Maintains communication with the technical staff regarding job status changes.

- At all times is aware of the shop’s workload to determine the kind of work the shop can quickly accommodate.

- Informs the sales manager of potential new vehicle sales customers.

- Contacts service customers when their vehicle’s work is finished.

- Provides an active delivery with each customer

Pay: $5,000.00 - $7,000.00 per month
