Summary:

Under the direction of the Sr. Manager of Operations, the Manager of Materials is responsible for overseeing and managing all activities involved with procuring goods and services.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for overseeing and managing all activities involved with procuring goods and services such as raw materials, equipment, tools, parts, and supplies following purchasing guidelines.
• Develops and maintains all aspects of supplier relationships.
• Oversees demand forecasting, supply planning, and procurement to ensure resource requirements are satisfied.
• Ensure the optimization of inventories with a constant focus on achieving security of supply and inventory targets.
• Plan and coordinate activities in the Warehouse and Packout departments.

Requirements:

• Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or similar degree.
• experience in resins and is analytically minded with a knack for streamlining processes.
• Knowledge of general manufacturing operations, planning theories and scheduling principles.
• Familiar with continuous improvement methods (e.g. pull systems, process mapping, etc.).
• Preferred a high degree of experience in polymers.
• Able to conduct inventory analyses and risk assessments on supply trends and demand factors.
• Demonstrated success working in a fast-paced and demanding manufacturing environment.
• Well organized, detail oriented with strong follow-up skills, self-motivated, self-starter with a strong work ethic and interpersonal skills.
• Strong written, verbal, collaboration, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to successfully work with cross-functional teams.
• Advanced understanding and use of Microsoft Excel required.
• Responsible for all ISO requirements and Voith policies for purchasing.
• As an active member, provide support to the Product Development Team
• Develop employees through training, informational and personnel meetings.
• Prioritizes and organizes workloads of the Warehouse and Packout department via work plans and daily communications.
• Ensures personnel follow all Safety procedures and environmental compliance / proper disposal as required.
• Expert MS Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook) preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
