Job Summary: MUST HAVE 5 YEARS OF ELECTRICAL ESTIMATING EXPERIENCE
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Estimating Manager to join our construction team. The Estimating Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing the estimating process for construction projects. This role requires strong knowledge of construction management, project estimation, and cost control. The ideal candidate will have excellent negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and subcontractors.
Duties:
- Manage the overall estimating process for construction projects
- Review project plans, specifications, and other documents to prepare accurate cost estimates
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for estimates
- Utilize software tools such as McCormick and Procore to create detailed estimates
- Analyze project scope and identify potential risks or opportunities
- Develop and maintain a database of historical cost data for future reference
- Prepare bid packages and submit proposals to clients
- Negotiate pricing with subcontractors and suppliers
- Monitor project costs throughout the construction process and make adjustments as needed
- Provide guidance and support to the estimating team
Experience:
- Proven experience in electrical construction estimating or related role
- Strong knowledge of electrical construction industry practices, materials, and methods
- Proficiency in using estimating software such as McCormick and Procore
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
