A DAY IN THE LIFE OF ASSOCIATE SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR:

This position is responsible for proving advances technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users and serve as a point of escalation for complex issues that cannot be resolved by level 1 technician. The System Administrator will be responsible for independently driving and completing crucial IT projects that arise such as implementing a new system, application, or hardware. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Manages IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems
  • Provides advanced support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems
  • Manages IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.
  • Provides Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis, resolution, and documentation of problems
  • Provides support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers
  • Configures and deploys hardware for a variety of uses including user workstations, mobile devices, and network equipment
  • Works with the VNAHSR IT team to lead complex IT projects such as migrating to a new EHR, implementing a new phone system, or transitioning to a new service
  • Customer support to 300 users, spread across 4 different offices in Vermont
  • Keeps up to date with current VNAHSR policy, compliance, and security/safety procedures
  • Works effectively with the many vendors and service providers the VNAHSR uses; both in a troubleshooting scenario and project management

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field
  • 5 years' experience in an IT support or administrative capacity
