Description
The Patient Care Associate (PCA) performs basic screening procedures in the primary care clinic as assigned as well as other tasks to assist in the well functioning of on and off site clinics.
dressing changes; cardiology assist; Title X assist; mobile van assist; triage; all essential functions in registration; travels to other sites.
Primary Functions :
Qualifications
Provides proof of program completion from an approved Certified Nurse Assistant, Certified Medical Assistant, Medical Assistant or Phlebotomy program.
Maintains CPR card.
Ability to type and basic computer skills a minimum.
Effective communication skills, including neat and legible hand writing / printing.
Ability to translate medical information effectively.
Bilingual in Spanish / English as follows : Reading - Preferred. Written Preferred. Speaking Required.
Health policies and requirements met.
Essential Functions / Physical Requirements : 1.Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
2.Tactile, visual, auditory and olfactory senses intact, including the ability to distinguish colors.
3.Manual dexterity sufficient to perform primary functions of CNA and operate a computer.
4.Ability to deal with high levels of stress.
5.Ability to bend frequently and lift up to 50 pounds, 25 pounds on a frequent basis.
6.Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods.
VNA complies with all laws enforced by EEOC and ADA.
