Success in the Role: What “extras” will I acquire during my employment as a security analyst?

As a business analyst in VMware Information Security team, you’ll support the expansion of training solutions specific to cross-functional business units through webinars, in-person training, events, and more.

Core Responsibilities:

• Support cross-functional groups across Security to expand their internal presence and create training and awareness solutions for each group
• Drive partnerships with global staff and lead coordination efforts in order to evolve quarterly training and awareness events
• Expand Security’s presence through communications efforts via Source, Social and other vehicles
• Drive the evolution of Security & Resiliency’s awareness initiatives through the creation and development of awareness through gamification, contests and competitions
• Drive engagement and partnerships of corporate wide Security ambassadors and develop a cadence of regular updates and meetings
• Address identified risks and develop mitigation solutions through training and awareness

What type of work will you be doing? What assignments or requirements will you be performing on a regular basis?

Maintain partnerships and existing responsibilities, including but not limited to:

• Development and refresh of existing web-based training courses and content
• Maintaining the partnership with HIVE teams to automate and improve existing processes and capabilities
• Manage relationships with third-party vendor support
• Support and lead global training and awareness event coordination and delivery
• Ensure training and awareness content and initiatives are aligned with Compliance regulations, requirements and standards
• Support training and awareness Compliance by providing auditors with controls evidence and training completion reports

What are skills that would be helpful for a successful?

• Degree or experience within IT Information Security
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Good research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Project Management Skills
• Highly self-motivated and directed professional with keen attention to detail

For US based candidates, the annual pay range (OTE for commissioned roles; Salary for other roles) for this position is: $95,000 - $216,000. The actual offer will be based on the role, location, and individual candidate experience. Bonus, commission, and/or equity may be eligible for this position. VMware offers comprehensive benefits including, but not limited to: medical, dental, and vision plans, company paid holidays, paid sick leave, and vacation time.
