SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for coordinating with the Operations Lead to ensure workflow is done in a safe and timely manner at our Mauldin, SC Facility.
Responsibilities:
1. Ensures Health & Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and always acting in a safe manner.
2. Monitors equipment assigned to the area and notifies the supervisor of major/minor issues and breakdowns
3. Responsible for the unloading and loading of wastes in conformance to company rules and regulations
4. Offloads and Check-in inbound waste streams
5. Must perform daily PM and inspections on operating equipment
5. Load, unload, and sample solid and liquid waste safely in accordance with Company, federal, state, and local regulations/rules
6. Operate a fork truck with attachments
7. Check for inconsistencies with manifested types and quantities with actual containers received in accordance with Company rules and regulations
8. Perform basic spill cleanup and housekeeping duties as directed
9. Perform chemical compatibility checks to prevent reactions and other issues
10. Use DOT knowledge to match and label inbound materials and for storage and shipping of containers to other sites
11. Use proper equipment to remove samples of materials for analysis and compatibility checks
12. Responsible for keeping work areas, walls, pit drain, and floor in a clean and safe condition
13. Understand Coding and labeling systems to handle and manage containers
14. Position handles materials and will often require the use of PPE: Boots, Gloves, Suits, Eye/Ear Protection, and Respirator
15. Shovels, sweeps, and cleans the area in which they are assigned periodically throughout the day
16. Any other duty assigned by the Drum building lead or supervisor
17. Keeps an inventory of PPE and supplies in the stock room and orders as needed
18. Lifting, bending, pulling, pushing up to 50lbs
19. Work in elements (cold and hot weather)
Requirements:
High School Diploma/GED
Ability to operate a Forklift required
Chemical mixing experience required
1-3 years of shipping receiving and warehouse experience strongly preferred
Assembly experience preferred
Lockout/Tagout experience preferred
Previous experience operating heavy equipment is a plus
Ability to work well with others
Lift up to 75lbs
Climbing/Balance/bending/stooping/crawling
Standing/Sitting
Pushing/Pulling
Use of power tools
Ability to work well with others
