Job description
Education: High school diploma or GED preferred. Dietary experience required
Experience: At least one (1) year experience as a cook, or a combination of education and experience relevant to position. Must be able to use kitchen equipment such as knives, slicers, mixers, and dishwashers; knowledge of the essential hygiene factors involved in food preparation; knowledge of cleansing and the appropriate methods of cleansing a variety of surfaces. Must be at least 21 years old.
Age-Specific Competencies: N/A
Licensure/Certification: HWC certification . Food Handlers License. CPR certification. Must be able to obtain all job required certifications during orientation.
Other: Must be able to concentrate on work amidst distractions such as noise, conversations, and foot traffic; must be able to consistently meet deadlines and finish all food preparation at specified serving time; must be flexible in work hours in order to meet patient and organization operating needs. Must maintain self control in volatile or hostile customer service interactions. Must be able to work independently, in a restricted physical environment for extended periods of time. Must have the ability to perform several tasks concurrently. Must be able to maintain information as highly confidential.
HIPAA: Does not have access to Medical Records. Access to PHI is limited to information required for special diets.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour
