Follow the link to learn about our Nurse's!We are seeking an experienced Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Registered Nurse. Two years' PICU or ICU experience with pediatric cardiac experienced strongly preferred.Department Specific InformationThe PICU at Inova Children's Hospital is the only one of its kind in Northern Virginia. Our multi-specialty level I unit provides advanced technology and intensive care for critically ill and injured patients from birth to age 21. The unit has earned recognition for the care given to our region's most fragile children, including the AACCN Beacon Silver Award for Pediatric Critical Care Excellence 2016 - 2019. The PICU has 26-beds including 8 CVICU beds.Shift: FT (36 hr/wk-3-12's) nights or rotating shiftCandidates are eligible to receive up to $20,000 as a competitive sign on bonus. Those relocating from more than 50 miles away will also receive relocation assistance.Requirements:At least 1 year of RN clinical experience in a Critical Care setting or completion of a Critical Care fellowship.1 - 2 years of Pediatric ICU experience strongly preferred.Education: BSN or MSN orIf Associates Degree RN - Within 6 months of start date, meet with nurse leader:* Identify which Accredited School the employee plans to attend* Submit a review of transcript from the school indicating the required pre-requisites and timeline for taking the courses* Provide a written plan with anticipated BSN completion date.* Complete BSN within 24 months of start dateBLS for Healthcare Provider Certification required.RN licensed, or eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a RN.Proficient in English, strong verbal and written communication skills.Exceptional interpersonal skill and the ability to display a caring demeanor towards others.Proficient computer skills required.#LI-VD1 (for internal use only)
