Registered Nurse - Acute Care Telemetry (2K) - Temple, Texas

The incumbent provides clinical nurse expertise, care, and education to diverse patient populations. The nurse is required to
work and support multiple inpatient areas within the medical center as staffing and patient acuity needs acutely arise.
Duties include, but not limited to: Performs assessment/data collection in an ongoing and systematic manner, focusing on
physiologic, psychologic and cognitive status, analyzing patient care and bringing problems to resolution. Anticipating and
implementing preventive patient care measures. Demonstrating knowledge and skills necessary to provide care
appropriate to adult and geriatric patients in the medicine/telemetry environment. Possessing the ability to assess data
reflective of the patient's status and interpreting the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements
relative to their age-specific needs. Performs documentation duties on the floor and in the patient record, which is timely,
accurate and concise, Works as part of a team in delivering patient care, Establish priorities of patient care based on
essential patient needs and available center resources of time, personnel, equipment and supplies, and functions as a
Charge Nurse and/or preceptor as required.
