Position Purpose
As the Senior Director of Behavioral Health and Social Services, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and integrating case management programs within the Vivent Health ecosystem. This multifaceted position involves responsibility for both the comprehensive behavioral health and wellness services, as well as the effective administration of case management programs. Key duties include the direct provision of services to patients, oversight of departmental staff, and development of collaborations to extend behavioral health services for individuals with HIV/AIDS.
Essential Functions
  • Provide direction, oversight, and evaluation for Behavioral Health and Case Management staff and the delivery of services, ensuring compliance with government regulations and Corporate Compliance Standards.
  • Ensure behavioral health and case management/social service operations align with best practice standards, including quality of care, and patient/client satisfaction.
  • Manage a patient-centered clinical supervision program and address professional development such as the provision of supervision for staff working toward licensure.
  • Integrate all appropriate aspects of program services and initiatives into the operations of the Vivent Health Medical Center to enhance successful access to, compliance with, and retention in medical care.
  • Adhere to all agency policies, including Confidentiality, Employee Handbook, Health Care Corporate Compliance Plan, Standards of Conduct, and other relevant policies.
  • Develop, revise, and lead implementation of policies and procedures to optimize efficiency and promote effective operation of integrated services.
  • Assure timely submission of program reporting, participate in statistical tracking, and program evaluation, and monitor Quality Improvement activities, as well as daily activities in compliance with grants, and contracts. Actively participate in the agency Quality Improvement Committee.
  • Develop and enhance collaborations with community service providers, State HIV/AIDS Program staff and other funders and key stakeholders.
  • Serve as a member of Vivent Health's senior management team, including participation in government relations and fund development, and attendance at and support of Vivent Health events. Serve as a Vivent Health spokesperson, in collaboration with the Public Relations staff for media and public relations and in other community settings as appropriate.
  • Carry a panel of behavioral health patients and provide direct services.
Qualifications
  • Education:
    • Master's degree or higher in counseling, social work, or related field.
  • Leadership:
    • Direct day-to-day operations of the behavioral health and case management programs
    • Work in close consultation with site leadership to ensure that programs produce trauma-informed, recovery-oriented services to all clients.
    • Provide opportunities to aspiring clinicians and leaders to develop and meet career goals.
    • Lead and manage behavioral health and case management staff through mentoring, coaching and supervision to meet organizational and departmental goals.
    • Hold yourself and others accountable to commitments, standards policy, and procedures.
  • Work Experience:
    • Prior administrative and clinical experience in the field of mental health and addiction
    • Experience working with underserved populations. Knowledge of cultural, social, and economic backgrounds of diverse populations served and the impact of cultural values and beliefs on their health status.
    • Minimum of three years providing behavioral services post-license.
    • Staff supervision and/or clinical supervision experience.
    • Experience working in a multidisciplinary medical environment.
    • Administrative and/or program coordination experience, including fiscal management.
    • Ability to clearly and effectively communicate with all constituents as needed for leadership, assessment, intervention and professional development.
    • Licensure/certification
    • Licensed to provide mental health services (LMFT, LPC, LCSW).
  • Soft skills:
    • Knowledge of and sensitivity to the HIV/AIDS patient population, and/or an eagerness to learn about this community.
    • Ability to work with a diverse patient population.
    • An Influenza vaccine is required of all new employees at the time of employment and is required thereafter on an annual basis.
    • A tuberculin/TB skin test is required of all new employees at the time of employment and may be required thereafter on an annual basis, depending on the position.
Salary:
Starting at $108,000/annually (Depending on Experience)
