Vivaldi Lifestyles is Hiring a Granite Warehouse Sales Manager Near Albuquerque, NM

The Sales/Stone Yard Manager will sell and provide guidance about products needed by wholesalers and manufacturers. As well as ensure that all warehouse activities are carried out efficiently and profitably.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Greets and interacts with customers.
Consults with customers to understand their needs and preferences related to the merchandise (natural stone).
Demonstrates and explains merchandise, selecting and suggesting options suitable for the customer's needs.
Answers customers' questions about the merchandise.
Assists customers with purchase decisions.
Retrieves merchandise from the sales floor, stone yard, or other inventory locations; places special orders.
Collects payment using the store point of sale system (SPS).
Develops and maintains relationships with potential and existing clients in the wholesale and manufacturing fields.
Identifies and locates new clients through a variety of methods including networking and cold calls.
Develops and implements strategies for sales.
Applies knowledge of the field and product features to match products to the needs of clients.
Provides information, quotes, credit terms, and other bid specifications to clients.
Negotiates prices, terms of sales, and/or service agreements; prepares contracts and submits orders.
Collaborates with purchasing departments, managers, and other staff to confirm that orders are processed with accuracy and efficiency and that products are distributed properly.
Periodically prepares and reports results, the status of accounts, and leads to the manager.
Ensures efficient warehouse operations through collaboration and coordination with other departments/locations.
Completes all required management reports.
Executes maintenance activities when needed.
Researches identifies, and presents new ideas to improve warehouse operations.
Ensures compliance with applicable federal, state, local, and company safety policies.
Performs other related duties as assigned

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Oversees the daily workflow of the yard/warehouse;
schedules and organizes staff to ensure proper staffing.
Trains new warehouse employees.
Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.

Required Skills/Abilities:

MUST have product knowledge (natural stones i.e. Granite, Marble, etc.)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent supervisory and interpersonal skills.
Thorough understanding of warehouse policies and procedures.
Thorough understanding of applicable federal, state, local, and company safety policies.
Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
Must be able to operate a forklift (certification can be completed after hire).
Must be able to regularly lift and/or move objects in excess of 50 pounds.
Must be able to work independently and as a team.
Basic math skills required (ex.: addition, subtraction, understanding pounds, tons, square feet).
1-2 years of previous warehouse experience is helpful.
