Viva Eve serves the tri-state area as a growing provider of choice for women's health care. We have 3 offices, Forest Hills, Astoria, and "Madison," a new location in Midtown Manhattan. Our practice offers patients a full spectrum of women's health services from general OB/GYN services to specialty services focused on uterine fibroids under the VIVA EVE brand. The Role:

The Accounts Receivable Associate will manage our daily incoming insurance payments operations and ensure that all accounting, financial, and mail processes are conducted smoothly and efficiently. In this role, they will also support the accounting team by processing and monitoring accounts receivable, ensuring accuracy and prompt handling of all incoming and outgoing mail, and assisting with other administrative tasks as needed.

The Responsibilities:

• Mail Management:
  • Sort and scan incoming mail, including insurance payments, EOBs, and requests for medical records.
  • Distribute mail to the appropriate departments or individuals within the practice.
  • Monitor and resolve issues related to incorrect or returned mail.
• Payment Handling:
  • Log checks, EFT, and credit card payments.
  • Cross-reference patient and insurance information to ensure accuracy.
  • Download daily activity from 10 credit card merchant accounts and reconcile against credit card receipts and front desk reports.
• Administrative Assistance:
  • Assist with other administrative tasks as needed, including support for the accounting team and broader financial administration.

The Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience in medical billing or a similar role is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic computer skills, particularly in word processing and Excel spreadsheet entry.
• Proficiency in operating scanning equipment and copy machines.
