Vitol BioMethane, LLC (VBM) is looking for a Landfill Gas Wellfield Technician for our Landfill Gas to Energy (LFGTE) project located at the Black Warrior Solid Waste Disposal Authority in Coker, AL.

This is an opportunity to join a growing team and be a part of the energy transition by supporting production of a renewable energy source.

This full-time position is based on-site, working a standard eight (8) hour shift, Monday through Friday with occasional weekends (as needed).

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the following satisfactorily; other duties may be assigned.

Position Summary :

• Perform well field tuning and monitoring of the landfill gas collection and control system (GCCS) for a high BTU landfill gas project.
• Providing maintenance and repair tasks for the GCCS including pumps, piping, wells
• Providing maintenance of the GCCS blower / flare, air compressor, analytical equipment, and other equipment
• Provide upkeep of monitoring equipment and report issues to Site Supervisor
• Recording and maintaining daily field logs
• Assisting in various project and construction related tasks as assigned
• Effectively communicating with and assisting on-site staff, including Supervisors and Management
• Following all company safety procedures and policies

Qualifications

• Maintain a current and valid Driver's License
• 2 or more years of industry experience, with a preference for Landfill Gas Wellfield Technician or Landfill Gas Construction experience
• Ability to move and lift 50 pounds
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Ability to use Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel)
• Enthusiastic and able to work well with others in a team-oriented environment
