Viterbo University is accepting applications for a Clinical Coordinator for the College of Nursing and Health. The Clinical Coordinator reports directly to the Dean of the College of Nursing and Health. The Clinical Coordinator is a full-time, 12-month, exempt position eligible for employee benefits. This position is responsible for the clinical placement coordination involving ongoing course/simulation management and collaboration and communication with clinical partners, students, faculty, and administration. This position has a start date on or after June 1, 2024.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• In collaboration with the Assistant Dean, Clinical Course Coordinators, and Simulation Director, manage clinical placement processes as needed for programs in the School of Nursing
• Serves as the main point of contact and liaison between the School of Nursing and clinical partners.
• Establishes and maintains positive working relationships with clinical agency management and staff.
• Serves as a member and liaison to the School of Nursing on clinical coordinating partner committees.
• Maintains policies and procedures specific to each clinical site.
• Create and maintain new clinical site agreements/contracts.
• Maintain and organize all approvals for clinical sites.
• Provide leadership to plan the number of clinical sites needed for upcoming semesters.
• Provide ongoing communication with all clinical course coordinators and participate in the onboarding process for new clinical site instructors.
• Provide ongoing communication with students about clinical placements and clinical requirements.
• Collaborate with the Clinical Course Coordinators, students, and/or clinical partners to solve issues arising with placement locations (cancellations, change in the number of students, etc.).
• Keep accurate data of the students in each program and track their progression.
• Serve as the liaison with the La Crosse Medical Health Science Consortium and the clinical management systems used by clinical partners (e.g. Clinician Nexus).
• Collaborate with the Assistant Dean and the Registrar's Office to set-up semester course schedules to meet anticipated enrollment within each program.
• Establish clinical course rotations for all programs to keep clinical course numbers balanced and as fair as possible.
• Manage the organization of NCLEX documentation for the graduating seniors and serve as a resource for the eligibility requirements for testing from multiple state regulatory bodies. Monitor submission of required information and confirm eligibility for testing.
• Provide administrative support for the College of Nursing and Health, as needed.

General Requirements/Qualifications: Has a minimum of bachelor's degree with previous experience or knowledge in management and health professions (preferred). Has strong oral and written communication skills, a keen attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. Has an ability to work effectively both in a team environment and independently. Possesses advanced experience in Microsoft Office Suite and other technologies necessary for the role scope and function. Must be authorized to work in the United States.
