Vital Transitions is Hiring a Bilingual Direct Service Worker Near Baton Rouge, LA

Overview:
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Direct Care Workers. As a Direct Care Worker, you will provide essential support and care to individuals with developmental disabilities. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of others.

Duties:
- Assist residents with daily activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication reminders
- Provide direct support and assistance to individuals with developmental disabilities
- Ensure the safety and well-being of residents at all times
- Assist with lifting and transferring residents as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized living environment for residents
- Collaborate with nurses and other healthcare professionals to provide optimal patient care
- Follow resident rights guidelines to promote independence and dignity

Requirements:
- Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks as required
- Knowledge of first aid procedures and patient care techniques
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team
- Compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature
- Willingness to undergo any necessary training or certifications
