Overview:
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Home Health Aides. As a Home Health Aide, you will provide essential care and support to individuals in their homes, assisting with daily activities and promoting their overall well-being.
Duties:
- Assist clients with personal care tasks, such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Provide assistance with mobility and transfers
- Administer medications according to prescribed schedules
- Monitor vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding, ensuring dietary requirements are met
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Assist with dementia care, including memory exercises and engagement in stimulating activities
- Provide catheter care and tube feeding as needed
- Support clients receiving hospice care by providing comfort measures and emotional support
Requirements:
- Valid certification as a Home Health Aide or completion of a recognized training program
- Knowledge of medical terminology and basic healthcare procedures
- Experience in providing care for individuals with dementia or other cognitive impairments
- Familiarity with catheter care, medication administration, tube feeding, and vital sign monitoring
- Ability to follow care plans and communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Compassionate nature and a genuine desire to help others
- Reliable transportation to travel to client homes
- Flexibility in scheduling to accommodate varying client needs
Note: All positions must be paid, including internship positions.
Job Types: Part-time, PRN
Pay: $17.02 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 5 – 15 per week
