Summary:

The Project Manager oversees equipment purchase, maintenance, and layout. Manages and oversees an organization’s construction processes. The Project Manager oversees staffing, scheduling, and training for production. Monitors and evaluates workflow and assembly methods and makes recommendations for process improvements. In addition, the Project Manager ensures performance and quality goals are met. Prepares production, staff, and financial reports. Requires a High School diploma, bachelor’s degree preferred. Typically reports to management. The Project Manager manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. 
The Project Manager Position is a full-time position including full benefits . This position will be salary pay between $36K - $48K.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performs maintenance tasks required to complete projects or maintain facilities;
  • Identifies and adheres to budgets for assigned projects; 
  • Oversees punch lists and the completion of those tasks; 
  • Manage the permitting process from initial approvals to final commissioning.
  • Manage design, development and construction documents; 
  • Manage the construction contractors during the development process;
  • Solicit bids and retain the development team for each project; 
  • Assist in coordination of consultants, meetings and drawings; 
  • Knowledge of construction management best practices and a willingness to adapt and lean out existing practices; 
  • Coordinates plans, specs, and bids to finalize subcontractor scopes; • Leads project meetings; 
  • Develop and maintain strategies and procedures, including scalable construction strategies from project initiation to handover to the client; 
  • Provides oversight for value engineering for all pre-development projects. 
  • Ensure projects are front loaded with rigorous planning, value engineering, constructability processes and best practices; 
  • Possess, build and maintain relationships with subcontractors/vendors.
 

Qualifications:

  • Understands and can demonstrate knowledge around the industry standards, materials, local polices, and processes to meet project quality and deadlines; 
  • Strong ability to be organized and balance several priorities; 
  • Able to multi-task and perform various task as needed to complete projects; 
  • Skilled in communicating with various personalities in a convincing and professional manner; 
  • Degree in Engineering, CM or equivalent experience; 
  • Knowledge of union and non-union labor pools; 
  • Enthusiastically takes on new opportunities and challenges and displays an optimistic “can-do” attitude in both good times and bad; 
  • Demonstrated supervisory skills sufficient to lead, direct, evaluate, and mentor subordinate and peer employee staff; 
  • Commitment to continuous learning, team work, and knowledge transfer;
  • Experience and knowledge in building LED scoreboards. 
  • Comfortable with the technical aspects of the job as well as business and client interactions; 
  • Knowledge and professional experience in project management, project controls, project reporting and coordination; 
  • Knowledge and understanding of the development and new construction business from both a technical and project management standpoint; 
  • Participated in construction design and build projects from inception to commissioning. 

Education: (one or more preferred)

High School Degree, Bachelors in Engineering or Bachelors in Construction Management preferred. Or equivalent experience
