Overview:

Vistra's Business Solutions organization is responsible for driving customer engagement, recruitment and revenue growth beyond the core electricity business. The scope spans multiple alternative services for commercial and industrial customers - including sustainable supply products and services (RECs, EFECs), distributed energy solutions (solar & batteries), digital energy management tools, energy efficiency, demand response, fleet electrification, and other related products and services. The Specialist, Sustainable Supply role is responsible for enabling the design and delivery of on and offsite sustainable energy solutions for commercial and industrial customers.
The successful and seasoned candidate will demonstrate initiative, analytical and business acumen, creative problem solving, customer focus, vendor management, as well as planning, performance and project management skills. This position must effectively partner with various internal and external teams to deliver value-added product and services.

Responsibilities:

• Lead design and delivery of relevant sustainable energy solutions for commercial and industrial customers
• Demonstrate ability to dig into complex and undefined opportunities with efficiency and minimal supervision, synthesize data and conduct research to assess customer needs
• Manage sales, customer experience, performance reporting and ongoing accounting for the sustainable supply product category
• Provide subject matter expertise for Sales Executives and customers related to various sustainable energy product options, GHG Protocol standards, compliance reporting and attestations, hourly carbon-free certificate matching solutions, other sustainability topics as identified
• Identify and provide thought leadership on new value-added energy services and innovative ways to incorporate clean energy solutions to create value for Vistra
• Create and maintain valuable relationships with key stakeholders, trade associations and vendors across markets
• Leverage analytical skill set to evaluate and prove economic potential of new concepts
• Identify and manage vendor partners end-to-end, including contract negotiations, performance evaluations and alignment of strategic direction
• Partner with sales leaders to align on the sales strategy and optimize offerings in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders and vendor partners
• Understand and communicate competitive and industry insights and implications, through industry conference and trade group participation as required

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in business or related field strongly preferred
• 5-7 years related professional work experience
• 1 yrs experience with project coordination/management methods required
• Experience with sustainable energy and/or distributed generation a plus
• Work effectively in a rapidly changing environment
• Highly motivated, results oriented with solid problem-solving skills
• Independently manage multiple time-sensitive priorities
• Effectively contribute to and lead small work groups
• Make presentations to customers and company leadership
• Demonstrate strong analytical and modeling skills
• Leverage project management skills to define & execute a plan
• Extensive communication and teamwork skills with both internal and external customers
• Excellent negotiation, consensus building and conflict resolution
• Advanced Skill in using computer software applications such as MS Office products
