Because of that, we are looking to add a seasoned DevOps Engineer with hands-on experience architecting and supporting Vista Global’s software delivery pipelines. The position is 100% remote

Your Responsibilities

• As part of our centralized DevOps team, you'll play an integral role in designing and deploying highly performant software delivery pipelines. You’ll be responsible for their architecture, optimization, security, documentation, and support.
• Use GitLab SaaS Platform to architect and deliver production grade CI/CD pipelines to production systems.
• Assist in coaching application developers on proper git branching methodologies for managing a healthy code base.
• The ability to prioritize existing technical CI/CD debt and prioritize and execute a plan to address it.
• Support and troubleshoot everything that relates to CI/CD pipelines.
• Take ownership of getting the code shipped by working with multiple teams to get all technical requirements met (system, network, and security).
• Be at the front between developers and IT teams.
• Evaluate new tools, technologies, and processes to improve speed, efficiency, and scalability of existing pipelines.
• Leverage modern monitoring tools for creating intuitive monitoring alerts and dashboards against all CI/CD pipelines.

Required Skills, Qualifications, and Experience

Technical Requirements:

• Extensive in-depth experience with shipping software to production systems
• At least a few years in a technical role, ability to teach and influence engineers
• BS in Computer Engineering or equivalent highly preferred
• Must be able to ensure Agile/Scrum concepts and principles are adhered to
• Understanding of the SDLC and best practices and Git
• Strong experience architecting CI/CD Pipelines
• Strong experience with Linux, scripting, and programming for efficient software deliveryExperience with infrastructure as code IAC
• Experience with containerization/orchestration technologies
• Strong understanding of multiple source control systems such as GitLab
• Experience with scripting and programming
• Demonstrate multiple successes from current or past technical challenges
• Experience working in a 24/7 on-call environment while supporting software releases
• Familiarity with testing tools and methodologies
